The design is commissioned by a family of 9 consists of parents, 4 sons, a grandmother and helpers, who enjoy the view of greenery and exclusivity of space and privacy. The responds to the brief is therefore to adopt the concept of kampong living where each room is envisioned as an individual dwelling stacked within the 4-storey building.   A swimming pool is designed as the center piece of focus stretching East-West with external staircase placed at the west end of the water element connects from basement to the attics. The external staircase is designed with planters and vertical greens at both sides to emulate the experience of a forested pathway.  Rooms are arranged on both north and south sides of the pool in shape of “H” sliced away from each other,  each with its own view inward and away from the direct heat of sun.  A façade screen wraps around the building,  offering an unifying look to the building while giving hint to the individual rooms behind.
